How Much Does a Virtual Tour Cost in Costa Rica?

What a 360° virtual tour costs in Costa Rica, what drives the price, and how to read a quote.

Virtual tour pricing looks opaque from the outside, which is why most people asking about it have already been quoted two wildly different numbers. It is not arbitrary. Almost all of the cost comes down to one unit — the scene — plus how much interactivity and publication you want wrapped around it.

The unit that drives everything: the scene

A scene is one 360° position: one spot where the camera stands and captures a full sphere. A small restaurant might need four — entrance, dining room, bar, terrace. A hotel typically needs one per room type plus the public areas. A retreat centre spread over several buildings can run past thirty.

Every scene carries a fixed amount of work: bracketed exposures on site, HDR blending, manual stitching, colour matching against the neighbouring scenes, and the hotspot linking that connects it to the rest of the tour. That is why quotes scale with scene count rather than with square metres, and why "how big is the property" is a less useful question than "how many distinct spaces need to be shown".

What a project costs at YouSee360

The current packages and what each one includes are laid out on the virtual tour pricing page.

Our projects start at $650, which covers up to five scenes of 12K HDR 360° photography, a web-embeddable interactive tour, and unlimited revisions until it is right. Mid-sized properties — most hotels, larger restaurants, and estate listings — generally land in the $1,800 range, which covers up to fifteen scenes plus drone aerials, custom hotspots, and Google Street View publication. Multi-building resorts, cinematic 360° video, and AR work are quoted per project.

Anything materially cheaper than this range is usually a single-camera auto-stitched capture with no manual correction, which is a genuinely different product — and one you can spot in the results.

What actually moves the price

Scene count

The single largest factor. Doubling the spaces roughly doubles the on-site time and the post-production.

Drone aerials

Aerial 360° positions add airspace checks, flight planning, and weather dependency. Worth it when the setting is part of the sale; skippable when it is not.

Google Street View publication

Publishing to Google Maps requires the imagery to be captured and processed to Google's specification and connected to your Business Profile. It is additional work, and it is the piece with the clearest ongoing return for a business that gets found through Maps.

Interactivity

A tour that simply moves between rooms costs less than one with information hotspots, embedded video, floor-plan navigation, booking links, and custom branding on the interface.

Travel

We work nationwide, but a shoot in a remote part of Osa or the Caribbean south carries travel time that a property in La Fortuna or Guanacaste does not.

How to read a quote

Comparable quotes should state four things explicitly. If any is missing, the number is not yet comparable:

Scene count — how many 360° positions are included, and what happens if the property needs more on the day. Capture and delivery resolution — auto-stitched 4K and manually stitched 12K HDR look nothing alike on a large screen. Ownership and hosting — whether you own the files, where the tour is hosted, and whether hosting has an ongoing fee. Revisions — how many rounds are included, and what counts as one.

What it is worth

The useful comparison is not against other photography. It is against what the tour replaces: the enquiries that never convert because a guest could not tell what they were booking, and the international buyers who will not commit to a flight for a property they have only seen in a gallery. A tour is a one-time cost that keeps working on your listing, your Google Business Profile, and your booking pages for years.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do virtual tours help restaurant reservations?

Yes, especially for tourist destinations. Diners want to know the vibe, view, and seating arrangements before booking. A virtual tour builds confidence and increases conversion rates.

Can you put a restaurant on Google Street View?

Yes! As a restaurant owner, you can hire a Google Trusted Photographer to capture your dining room, bar, and patio, allowing users on Google Maps to 'step inside' virtually.

How to market a restaurant to tourists in Costa Rica?

Visuals are key. Use high-quality food photography, an active Google Business Profile with an indoor Street View tour, and localized SEO targeting terms like 'best sunset dinner in Costa Rica'.
