Virtual Tour Pricing in Costa Rica

What a 360° virtual tour actually costs, what moves the number up or down, and what a complete quote should contain. Projects start at $650.

Price agreed before we shoot Unlimited revisions included No hosting surprises

What most projects cost

A small property — a restaurant, a clinic, a handful of rooms — generally lands near the $650 starting point. Most hotel, resort and real estate projects sit between $1,800 and $4,000, because they need more scenes, drone aerials and Google Street View publication. Multi-building resorts and projects that include 360° video are quoted individually.

We do not publish a per-photo rate, because it tends to mislead. Two properties with the same room count can need very different numbers of scenes depending on how the spaces connect. What we do commit to is that the number on your quote is the number you pay — it is agreed before the shoot, and revisions are already inside it.

What actually moves the price

In rough order of impact. If you know where you sit on these six, you can predict your own quote fairly closely.

Number of scenes

The single biggest factor. Each 360° scene is a separate bracketed capture and a separate hand-stitch in post. Five scenes and fifty scenes are genuinely different projects.

Drone aerials

Aerial 360° work adds a flight, and for properties where the setting is the selling point — volcano views, beachfront, jungle canopy — it usually earns its place.

Google Street View publication

Publishing to Google Maps through the Street View Trusted programme is work beyond building your tour, and it is what puts your interior inside the search result itself.

360° video

Spherical video is a different production to stills — more shooting time, considerably more post. It is the step from walking through a space to watching it come alive.

Hotspots and branding

A basic tour navigates room to room. A custom one carries your branding, floor plans, booking links and information hotspots on every amenity. That build time is real.

Travel

We are based in La Fortuna and shoot nationwide. Work in Guanacaste, Manuel Antonio or the south Pacific carries a travel line so you can see exactly what it adds.

What a complete quote should contain

Whoever you end up hiring, these are the six lines worth checking. A quote missing them is not cheaper — it is just less finished.

  • Scene count. Not “the property” — an actual number, and what happens if you want more.
  • Capture resolution and stitching. 12K hand-stitched and 4K auto-stitched are not the same product.
  • Revisions. How many, and what counts as one. “Unlimited” should be written down.
  • Hosting. Who hosts the tour, for how long, and what it costs in year two.
  • Ownership. Whether you can keep and reuse the panoramas if you change provider.
  • Delivery date. A confirmed date, agreed before the shoot rather than after it.

Common questions

How much does a 360° virtual tour cost in Costa Rica?

Projects start at $650 USD for a small property of up to five scenes, and most hotel, resort and real estate projects land between $1,800 and $4,000 depending on how many spaces need covering. The number of 360° scenes is the single biggest driver. Every project is quoted individually and the price is agreed before we shoot.

What actually changes the price?

Six things, roughly in order of impact: the number of scenes, whether drone aerials are included, whether the tour is published to Google Street View, whether you need 360° video as well as stills, how much custom hotspot and branding work the tour needs, and travel time if the property is far from La Fortuna.

Do you charge for revisions?

No. Every package includes unlimited revisions until you are happy with the result. Revisions are the part most quotes leave vague, and it is where unexpected costs usually appear.

Is hosting included, and what happens after the first year?

Your tour is hosted and we keep the project files for two years, so adding scenes later is a top-up rather than a reshoot. Ask us to put the hosting terms in writing on your quote — any photographer should be willing to do that.

Why do some quotes look so much cheaper?

Usually because they are not quoting the same thing. A low quote often covers raw 360° images without a built tour, auto-stitched in-camera at 4K–6K rather than hand-stitched at 12K, with revisions billed hourly and hosting charged separately from year two. Compare the deliverables, not the headline number.

Do you travel outside La Fortuna and Arenal?

Yes — we shoot nationwide, and regularly work in Guanacaste and Manuel Antonio. Travel beyond the Arenal area is quoted as a line item so you can see exactly what it adds.
