Dragonfly Awakening
A retreat centre captured so prospective guests can see the practice spaces, accommodation and surroundings before committing to a multi-day stay.
What this property needed
A retreat is close to the hardest thing there is to sell online. It is an intangible experience, it is booked weeks or months ahead, it is frequently booked from another country, and it asks the guest to commit to several days in a place and a group they have never seen. Almost all of the hesitation in that decision is uncertainty about the physical reality of the space.
How we captured it
We captured the practice spaces and the accommodation, then linked indoor and outdoor areas into one tour so a prospective guest can see where they would actually be spending their time — the shala, the rooms, and the ground between them. Information hotspots cover the facilities, which answers the practical questions that otherwise arrive as email.
What we delivered
- 360° photography of practice and accommodation spaces
- Interactive tour linking indoor and outdoor areas
- Information hotspots on facilities
- Shareable tour link for programme pages
The problem this solves
A retreat is an intangible purchase made weeks in advance, often from another country. Seeing the actual spaces reduces the uncertainty behind a multi-day booking.
How the tour gets used
The tour is delivered as a shareable link built for programme pages, where someone is reading a schedule and deciding whether to commit. It also does quiet work in the enquiry process: a question about whether the space suits a particular need is far easier to answer by letting someone look than by describing it.
It also does something for guests who have already booked. The days before a retreat are when second thoughts surface, and being able to revisit the space — to see the room again, to remember where things are — tends to settle rather than unsettle. The same asset that helps someone decide also helps them arrive prepared.
Common questions
The practice and accommodation spaces and the outdoor areas connecting them, built into one interactive tour with information hotspots on the facilities.
Because a retreat is bought sight-unseen, in advance, often from abroad. Seeing the actual spaces removes most of the uncertainty behind a multi-day commitment.
Yes. It works both ways — embedded on programme pages, or sent directly to someone enquiring.
